Junior Coaching

Our Junior Programs are designed to develop young athletes through age-appropriate training, with a focus on fun, skill-building exercises and strategic techniques. We nurture a lifelong love for table tennis, guiding beginners and advancing players to reach their full potential both on and off the table.

Adult Coaching

Our Adult Coaching Programs provide comprehensive, personalized coaching for players of all levels. Whether you're a newcomer or an experienced provincial-level competitor, our nationally-trained and certified coaches will help you refine your technique, enhance your strategy, and maintain fitness. You'll graduate from "ping pong" to a strong offensive (or defensive) table tennis player.

Tournaments & Training

LTTC hosts at least one major tournament per year. This year, the Southwestern Ontario Open will take place at the club on Sunday, March 29, 2026. For players who need more tournament exposure (essential for serious players), we often travel to competitive events throughout Ontario.

Additionally, the GTA/Toronto region hosts at least six multi-event tournaments per year, and a few affiliated OTTA clubs offer training camps that can really help juniors improve.

Chat with our head coach, who can help you plan your or your child's table tennis journey.

Meet Our Head Coach

Head Coach and Manager, Lorne Cherry, has over 50 years of playing and coaching experience in Canada. Of note, Lorne represented Western Canada as a junior during the Chinese National Junior Team's famous "Ping Pong Diplomacy Tour" of North America in 1977.

While playing in Toronto, Lorne was mentored by Chinese professional Jian Sun Fei, a long-pip defensive specialist and the 2nd-ranked player in Canada in the 2010s.

Lorne also brings his experience as a provincial organizer in Saskatchewan and as a former regional representative on the CTTA Board of Directors.
